WELCOME
To TEAMS Corporation
We welcome you to the TEAMS Corporation
web site. Although our name might be new to you, our company traces
its heritage back to 1978. In fact, our management includes some of
the most senior members of the Enterprise Asset Management Software
industry today. Our company has a long and proud history of providing
“Best of Breed” EAM solutions and we remain dedicated
to doing so in the future.
In 1978, our Chairman, Bob Nelson, founded
Elke Corporation with the goal to design and develop computerized
maintenance management software for companies with IBM Midrange
computers. Many consider Bob as the “visionary of the CMMS
industry” and we are very proud to be associated with him.
His unique equipment-oriented experience includes over 30 years
employment with the nation’ s leading highway construction
company, where he computerized their operations in 1962. It has
been often said “that if you travel a US highway east of the
Mississippi, it is likely that Bob built it”. Prior to selling
Elke Corporation to SSA in 1993, the Elke Main/Tracker System was
the most widely used EAM system on the IBM Midrange computer. Main/Tracker
had over 2,500 systems installed worldwide, in over 20 industries.
In 1993, SSA acquired Elke Corporation, having realized the need to
incorporate an Enterprise Asset Management solution into the BPCS
“suite of products”. Elke’s Main/Tracker was renamed to BPCS Plant
Maintenance Management System (MMS). In 2002, the MMS product was
enhanced and renamed to BPCS Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). In
2006, Infor acquired SSA and continued with the name of EAM. During
the last 10 years, several hundred new companies have joined the EAM
install base. Today, with the continued support of Infor, the EAM
product is still considered a “Best of Breed” EAM solution and
continues to be the most widely used EAM system on the IBM AS/400
computer today.
It
is common knowledge in the software industry, in order for an
enterprise level application to enjoy long term success, there needs
to exist a network of third party “value-added” vendors which are
committed to the future of the application. These vendors
demonstrate their dedication by providing sales, consulting and
technical services to the application’s client base. TEAMS
Corporation is one such vendor. In the decade following the
acquisition of Elke Corporation, the executives of TEAMS have
continued to provide comprehensive solutions to the Infor/SSA EAM
client base.
